We are a small group, and we are just getting started. Look, this is what we have found while playing around with data files of 300-600 accurately timed charts. We call these *hits* gator-bits.

  1. In looking at a data file of about 590 accurately timed charts for left-handed people, we found the following investigator delicacies:

The Moon is most often the first planet ahead of the Sun.

Mars is very active and the chief feature common to left-handed charts.

Some gator-bits:
  • Mars is strong in succedent houses, particularly the 2nd and 8th
  • Mars is strong in fixed signs, especially Aquarius
  • Leo Aspects involving Mars and other planets tend to be most frequent applying to conjunction
  • We found Mars to have a low representation in Gemini and Sagittarius
  • Mars phase opposing Uranus phase
  • Venus squares Mars
    •

    This emphasis on Mars made us think about observations reported to us by psychologists and volunteers supplying data that left-handed people were often subjected to trauma at birth (beyond the normal). Mars represents both birth and trauma in traditional astrological symbolism.

    Mars is an aspect of will, so perhaps the left-handed person has to work harder because everything is designed for right-handed use. There are many left-handed people in the arts, we are told.



    1. Looking at our teacher data collection of about 675 charts, we found the following high frequency gator-bits:
  • The ruler of the third in the tenth house
  • Saturn in the tenth house
  • Mutual reception between the third house and the tenth house
  • The ruler of the Midheaven in the third house
  • Gemini and Sagittarius were most often rising
  • We found that Mercury was:
    1. most frequently in its disseminating phase, the teaching phase
    2. most often the planet rising before the Sun
    3. was often angular
      4.


    1. We found Mercury before the Sun with teachers and Venus before the Sun with artists.

    1. We found the progressed Moon to frequent the 7th house in the charts of individuals on the date of their marriage.
